Austin Air Sports has offered state-of-the-art hang gliding lessons using the newest form of hang gliding instruction -- tandem aero towing behind the Dragonfly tug. Currently we are not operating our flight park, which includes aero tow instruction, discovery tandem flights and aero tow services. We are still offering introductory foot launch lessons in the Houston area. Our skilled instructors and helpful staff make your flying experience exciting and comfortable. 

The best way to get started in hang gliding is with Austin Air Sports (AAS). Since 1978, we have provided safe, personal instruction to thousands of people. Our time-proven training program combines flight instruction with carefully prepared background theory. All our instructors are certified by the United States Hang Gliding Association (USHGA).

Our flightpark for the aero towing is located at the Hearne Municipal Airport in Hearne, Texas just north of Bryan-College Station. View a map to our airpark. AAS is one of the few schools in the country to teach and certify students in all three forms of hang gliding launch methods -- foot launch (FL), tow launch (TL), and aero tow launch (ATL).
