AAS CONSIGNMENT POLICY
Austin Air Sports has designed our consignment program to provide a method
for pilots selling used equipment to advertise their glider or equipment
in our "Pro Shop" section. It allows new students looking for used equipment
a convenient way to see what is available locally. Our consignment program
is an on-going process as we continue to upgrade the quality of service
we provide to our customers. Your ideas are always welcome.
Presently our consignment program has a 5% (of sale price) fee to list
equipment on our page. This fee is payable at the time of sale, regardless
of who handles the sale. If AAS handles the sale (i.e., contacts, inspection,
set-up and demo flights) there is an additional 10% fee, payable at the
time of sale. If the owner handles the sale, there is no additional fee.
We feel this offers someone selling equipment several helpful options
at a very reasonable cost. Some pilots may wish to sell their equipment
completely on their own (there are some good e-mail addresses to list
your equipment on, see Links page). Some pilots may wish to use our web
page and numerous links to help them advertise their equipment, yet handle
the specifics of the sale themselves. Some pilots may not have the time
or experience to handle the specifics of the sale, so they can use AAS
and the Airpark to sell equipment more efficiently.
